A 3 credit report can be useful for a variety of reasons. There are three major credit reporting agencies: Experian, Equifax, and TransUnion, and each of them has their own information about your credit, so to get a good credit report, you have to use all 3. Fortunately, you can get a 3 credit report for about $24, and this will tell you all you need to know about your credit.

Many institutions need to know your 3 credit report before they will approve of you, and so knowing your credit record can give you a heads up on your chances of receiving all kinds of services. For example, a home loan will not be given if you have a bad credit score, and neither will insurance, a credit card with a low apr, or some times even a lease on a house of car. For the first time since I have been using computers and the internet (since the early eighties, that is), I am at a loss for how to transfer money.  Oh, sure I know how to use the absolutely perfect system, PayPal, and knew immediately (when I first signed on with PayPal) how, in a heartbeat, to transfer money from my PayPal account to my bank account…but this is an unusual (and maddening) transaction I need to make.  Here’s the story, in case anyone cares.

Bookworm Deluxe is another game this overgrown kid, word lover, game fiend, and writer highly recommends (having turned readers like you on to Carmen Sandiego games, word scramble games, and many other free or very inexpensive online community games.  Bookworm Deluxe can be played online as well, or you can download a trial version then-when you get hooked-can pay under twenty bucks for the full, limitless play experience.

Bookworm Deluxe is a combination word scramble game and Scrabble-type game, with enhanced features.  The “board” is upright and facing you, with a massive set of letters on tiles.  You click on connected letters to make a word, which, when complete, is swooshed off the board and into the mouth of the waiting bookworm, and the board readjusts, the gap closing and new letters dropping in from the top-to keep the board constantly full.  When you create huge words, some of the newly appearing letters or the already existing ones become lighted blue or green, and having an increased point value.  When the “hungry” bookworm is full, the set is complete and you are upgraded, given a higher position in the library or bibliophile’s world.  Read more... Is your thumb not as green as you wish it were?  Looking for some plant-like beauty in your home?  You should consider buying some artificial flowers instead of the real thing. 

Artificial flowers have come along way in recent years.  At times, you will be hard pressed to tell the difference between a real plant and one made of plastic or silk.  Some are so realistic you may find visitors bending to sniff your flowers before they realize they aren’t real.

No watering or fertilization is required when your house is full of artificial flowers.  They may only require a little dusting from time to time.  This can be accomplished by using a slightly damp washcloth or rag to wipe down large leaves and petals. When it comes to buying artificial flowers you should know that the more you pay, the better and more authentic looking they will be.  The roses at Wal-Mart will not look as real as ones purchased from a specialty shop.

When shopping for your artificial flowers, don’t forget to buy some green to go with them.  You can find authentic looking greenery in almost any type to accent your flower arrangement.  The shades of greenery vary from the very lightest green to deep emerald green and every other shade of green in between.  Read more... Several months ago, I opened up my mailbox and sighed. Holding in my hand was an invitation to my best friend’s parents’ 50th wedding anniversary party. I have known my best friend and her family for almost 30 years, so I am very close to all of them. There is no way I would miss such an important occasion, but yet, the idea of shopping for a 50th anniversary gift didn’t thrill me. I’m not a fan of shopping for presents like that. This is a very special milestone for them, I knew that I couldn’t just get them a generic present. If you are a senior you may be resigned to the fact that the busiest years of your life are over, but you can still do many things to ensure active senior living. Just because you’re over 65, doesn’t mean that life has to be boring or dull. There are so many ways to contribute to society, or just have fun. Active senior living means you make the choice on what you want, and then go get it.

There are many options to keep you busy. You can dig up a few hobbies from the past that you used to do. Go back and get your dancing shoes on, or if you never danced, learn how to. A fun part of active senior living can include dancing.

Sewing is another mentally stimulating challenge, and you could make a few outfits to head out on the town, and look great.
